South Korea has kicked off its annual Mud Festival in the coastal city of Boryeong. Droves of tourists have flocked to the city to experience mud slides and even mud baths.
More than 130,000 visitors gathered in Boryeong on Thursday. Locals and tourists waded through the mud and played in 200 tons of greyish goo in mud wrestling pots. Some of the revellers painted themselves with colored mud. The festival has grown bigger each year, delivering a boon for South Korea's tourism industry. The festival will continue through to July 31st.
